Displays Overview
Parts of the Screen
Active Views Toolbar
- Shows the views currently available to the user
- When loading a file, just the three basic navigation views are available to the user. However,
as more analyses are performed, the resulting displays and charts are added to this toolbar
for quick access.
Master Controls Panel
- Controls the basic global settings, displays information about the current cluster, and allows for cluster navigation and management.
Current View Controls Panel
- Controls related to the currently selected view. This panel changes as the the selected view changes.
Active Displays
- The main display area of the program. All data views appear here.
Example:
- Make sure a copy of GeneXPress running, with the sample file loaded.
- Click on the "BirdsEye" icon in the toolbar. Watch the new view appear, and the controls panel change.
- Now click on the "Tree" icon in the toolbar. Again, watch the new view appear, and the controls panel change.
- The screen should now look like this:
